Arjun Potkar is a Grade 11 IB Diploma student in Dubai studying Mathematics, Physics and Computer Science, with a strong interest in quantum mechanics, artificial intelligence and robotics. He enjoys exploring how analytical and computational thinking can be applied to solve complex real-world problems and better understand emerging software technologies. He is particularly interested in the mathematical structure behind physical systems, including wave behaviour, probability, superposition, measurement and the ways quantum principles can be translated into computational models. His academic interests also extend to algorithms, machine learning and advanced problem-solving, and he actively pursues challenging material beyond the classroom through competitions, independent study and STEM programs. He is also a competitive badminton and an avid chess player. Alongside academics and sport, he is a Trinity Grade 8 pianist. As a GQMC Ambassador, he hopes to help make quantum mechanics feel more approachable and exciting, while encouraging more students to explore the subject with curiosity, confidence, and an open mind.
