Bula, I am Saakshi Goundar, a Bachelor of Science graduate with majors in Mathematics and Physics, along with a Graduate Certificate in Education (BSCGCE) from the University of the South Pacific, Laucala Campus, Fiji. I am passionate about inspiring young people to achieve their goals and aspirations through education and scientific discovery. As the National Winner and Silver Honor recipient of the 2026 Global Quantum Mechanics Challenge, I have developed a strong interest in exploring the fascinating world of quantum mechanics. This achievement has motivated me to encourage more students to pursue their curiosity and passion for this exciting field. Currently, I serve as a Mathematics and Physics teacher at one of Fiji’s prominent secondary schools, where I strive to make complex scientific concepts accessible, engaging, and meaningful for students. Guided by the belief that “Success is not a destination but a journey,” I am committed to fostering curiosity, critical thinking, and a lifelong love of learning. As an Ambassador for the Global Quantum Mechanics Challenge, I aim to promote scientific inquiry, global collaboration, and STEM education. My mission is to inspire young minds to engage with emerging scientific discoveries and develop the knowledge and skills needed to shape the future. Vinaka vakalevu.
